Psychedelic Trip

Psychedelic Trip was created for my filmmaking course, Time, as an image manipulation study exploring distortion, memory, and altered perception. I worked with images from my phone as the source material, transforming personal snapshots into heavily altered visuals that feel unstable, saturated, and dreamlike.

Through layering, color distortion, repetition, and digital manipulation, the images began to move away from their original context. What started as familiar phone images became visual fragments that resemble the feeling of a psychedelic trip — disoriented, emotional, and detached from linear time.

The project became an exercise in using still images cinematically, treating them less as documentation and more as a way to visualize how time, memory, and perception can warp an image.
